How to Delete Your Account

You can request the deletion of your CarFile account and all associated personal data using any of the following methods:

Option 1: In-App Deletion

Open the CarFile app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm deletion.

Option 2: Web Dashboard

Log in to your account at app.carfile.app, navigate to Account Settings → Delete Account.

Option 3: Email Request

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your CarFile account.

What Gets Deleted

  • Your account profile and login credentials
  • Vehicle records and registration data
  • Service history and maintenance logs
  • Expense and fuel records
  • MOT and tax reminder settings
  • Push notification preferences
  • All personalised app data

What to Expect

  • Deletion is processed within 30 days of your request
  • Active subscriptions will be cancelled
  • This action is permanent and irreversible
  • Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by UK tax law
  • Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained
